About This Archive
Pinewick is a reference archive covering national parks, natural parks, biosphere reserves, and Natura 2000 protected areas in Romania. The site collects structured factual notes on biodiversity records, current visitor regulations, trail networks, and geological features — drawing from official park documentation, peer-reviewed literature, and national environmental authority sources.
The archive does not have a promotional purpose. Entries are written in a neutral, descriptive register. No commercial relationships with tour operators, accommodation providers, or equipment retailers influence the content.

Editorial Standards
Each entry references its primary sources — official park websites, Romanian Ministry of Environment publications, and where relevant, published scientific literature. Figures that cannot be verified through an authoritative source are not included. Regulation details carry disclaimer notes advising readers to confirm current conditions with the relevant park administration, as rules and fees are subject to amendment.
Entries are reviewed and updated when official documentation changes. The last review date is displayed on each article page.
Organisation
Pinewick is published by a small editorial team based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The team has backgrounds in environmental science and science writing. The archive is not affiliated with any national park administration, government body, or conservation organisation.
